Ill-Fated Sunset Cruise

Bob participated in the loaner boat program at the CPYC this summer, giving him access to a Rhodes 19 boat whenever he wanted.

We we decided to take it out for a family sail. On a really windy Tuesday night. When ay least five hundred youth sailors were also having "Twillight Sailing" around the yacht club. At low tide. And while pretty much everyone we knew was sitting on the pier, wondering who those idiots were who got stuck on the sandbar and needed to be towed in.

But BEFORE we ran aground (with the most terrible sound you can imagine!) it was a lovely evening.

 

I think we all learned a lot from this sail!
