Stress Cookies

This holiday season has felt so weird. Nothing is normal, every decision feels exhausting. But our decision to stay in Massachusetts this year has proved to be the correct one. On Monday, I was alerted by the state that Audrey had been exposed to COVID19 by her dance teacher and needed to get tested. If this had been a normal year, we would have probably been driving though Ohio when we got the news, so luckily we were home. Luckily, testing is fairly easy to get done in our town, though because of the surge we're in, we waited a long time. And VERY luckily, Audrey found out she was negative right before Christmas Eve. We know just how lucky she was because the other kid who'd been at the same dance lesson tested positive.

All this is a very long preamble to say that our local Christmas Elf (Gillian) had dropped off a cookie decorating kit earlier this week and it was very nice to have the distraction while we were waiting for test results!
