Christmas Eve

Our first Christmas Eve in Winthrop was really fun. During the day, Audrey Claus wanted to deliver the presents she got for her friends. It was nice to see people as we dropped off cookie boxes and gifts. I think we're starved for interacting with people outside of this house!

Then in the evening, the Winthrop event we've heard about for YEARS! The Santa on the firetruck...

...it really was magical!

We'd been saving the watching of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation for Christmas Eve, but before we did that Audrey talked us unto opening just ONE present.

(I had the novel she wrote and illustrated though  out the pandemic bound and "published" and the look on her face when she saw it was the best gift I received this Christmas!)
