February Vacation

We had a pretty quiet February vacation.

On Tuesday, the kids decided to stay in their pajamas all day. Somehow, the place to play "house" is in my bed. And their version of "house" involves the majority of their stuffed "friends". I'm still finding them in my bed!

It was lucky that we didn't have anywhere to go that day as we had to wait around for our new dishwasher to be delivered! Yay!

So simple, so easy. It only took Bob six hours (according to the directions, it should have taken a "novice" three hours!), one trip the the hardware store and many gray hairs to install. It's so nice to have a dishwasher again though! (That Sam Adams was Bob's motivation/reward for finishing.)

Maddy was so thrilled to be out of school so that she could lay on the couch, late into the wee hours (like, all the way to 9:30!) and watch the Winter Olympics.

Unfortunately, by the end of the week, everyone (but me) was fighting for the couches, dealing with a stomach bug. I'm pretty sure this is the third year in a row our February vacation has ended this way!

By Saturday, everyone was back to semi-health, and I took the kids to see The Lego Movie while Bob went to work to catch up. Inspired by the movie we came home and got out Maddy's Legos while Audrey was having her nap. The nice thing about this vacation was being able to spend two hours playing Legos with nowhere to go!

We also had some fun with Play Doh. The kids wanted to see what I would look like if I got a nose job.

It was a great vacation! I have a feeling it's going to be very tough to get back into the routine in the morning!
