On Saturday, after a nutritious breakfast….
...and a Girl Scout Troop meeting...(behold the secret Girl Scout "handshake")...
...Bob gave me the day off and took the girls to the Museum of Fine Arts. To keep busy hands from trying to touch everything, Bob had the brilliant idea to have the girls bring their own sketch books. His idea worked pretty well.
And we have some art for a souvenir. (Please note Maddy drew the frame in addition to the art!)
Then, in the contemporary art section, Bob saw his life pass before his eyes and the security guards went on high alert when Audrey broke out into a run to go touch an Ellsworth Kelly painting which (to be fair) must have looked like a toy to her.
At least they were allowed to touch some exhibits, like these beads.
After all that art, they were pretty wiped out.
But all it takes is a little gelato to perk these kids up.
They had a great time. I'm definitely going to make them take me next time!
