Blowing Rock

We had a nice, but soggy, visit in Blowing Rock with Carl and Brooke and Ellie. It was almost comical, how the rain just kept pouring and pouring. We got out for a few walks, between downpours.




We had plans to go to Tweetsie Railroad, but unfortunately we had to change those. Instead, after some of Carl's famous pancakes...


...we drove into Boone to go to the "Children's Playhouse". The kids didn't seem to mind the change in plans.


Everyone found something fun to do. Audrey worked out a design for a high-rise zoon.


And we had a nice lunch with some corn on the cob. There may or may not have been a pitcher of margaritas. My memory is kind of fuzzy.


We just all enjoyed being together. Wherever there's a closet or a porch to play in, these kids will be happy.


It was a great visit.
