Weekend with Thomas

Kenny and Tricia both had to travel for work last weekend so we got to have a whole weekend with Thomas!

Luckily, we still had a lot of toys lying around that a two-year-old would enjoy! The rocket ship was probably very pleased to get played with so much again!

Luckily, Kenny was around on Friday night which was great so that Thomas could get comfortable staying with us. But unfortunately he had to fly to Japan VERY early, and Thomas was not happy about it. So, we enlisted the whole family to help distract. Nothing like LEGOs at 6:00am. *yawn*

After we woke up properly, and had some pancakes, we took off for the Museum of Science in Kenny and Tricia's car which had an awesome backseat mirror which really accentuated Bob's forehead.

Cousins!

First we looked at the space exhibit....

...and then the dinosaurs which we'd been really talking up! Thomas LOVED the dinosaurs, but unfortunately I did not get the "Cute cousin photo under the T-Rex" that I'd been imagining.

Thomas feel asleep on the way home, but instead of just parking and waiting for his nap to end we decided to take a mini road trip to Salem. Poor Thomas didn't even know the ice cream and witches that he missed while he was napping! He woke up right as we were rolling into town.

(Thank goodness for Audrey! She was so good at getting him to calm down whenever he missed his parents!)

In one last push to completely exhaust him out so that he'd sleep well, we went to the park before dinner.

(Somehow my "baby" seems ridiculous going down the slide now! 😩)

We had pizza and a movie night to finish off our Saturday. I don't know about Thomas, but we were all exhausted by the time we went to bed! We were all in bed before 10:00!

On Sunday morning, Thomas was up early, again, but this time Bob took the early shift and somehow got him back to sleep, (miraculously!) allowing the rest of us to sleep in!

After Audrey's soccer, we drove to Taunton so that the Heberts could take the next shift with Thomas, but first we got some ice cream with Grandpa and Auntie Linda...

...and played in the yard a bit.

It was a very fun weekend. Now we're all going to bed!
