Father's Day Weekend, Whale Watching

Grandma and Grandfather came up for a visit this weekend and believe it or not, the weather was beautiful! (Maybe the curse is finally broken!

On Friday, after school we took a walk/ bike ride around Deer Island.

On Saturday, we spent the morning at a fundraiser for a student at Maddy's school who's battling cancer. There was a great turn out for the event! And Maddy got to help carry the banner on the walk.

But even more exciting, she got to dunk her teacher Ms. Dempsey in the dunk take. (I took a video of it, and she's watched that about a hundred times!)

After the Walk for Josh, we had our Father's Day celebration....lunch and a whale watch with Grandfather, Grandpa and Uncle Kenny.

Audrey always wants to sit next to Thomas...

...though sometimes he's rather skeptical of the things she wants him to eat. (Not many people enjoy eating lemons as much as Audrey does!)

It's pretty special to celebrate Father's Day with both grandfathers...

...and your dad too.

We had such a beautiful day for a whale watch, and the late afternoon sun and calm seas were so much nicer than I had even hoped for! And we saw LOTS of whales, including several ones that breeched right near us!

It was an amazing day, and a very memorable one!

And on Sunday, we relaxed on the beach. I think we were all pooped from the fun day before!
