Thanksgiving

We had an awesome long Thanksgiving weekend!

This year was extra special because we have a new cousin.

Since Kenny and Tricia are homeless until January, the Heberts hosted all of us at their house.

I cannot stress how much Audrey adores her cousin. And I think he thinks she's pretty cool too!

Though I think there is a part of her that misses being the "baby".

Maddy was more comfortable chatting it up with the adults.

The table looked beautiful and the food did too!

In between jokes, Audrey ate her own weight in cranberry sauce (that other food on her plate was just inedible garnish for the cranberry sauce.)

Of course, dessert was Uncle Kenny's world famous chocolate pie.

After dinner, and after Thomas woke up from his nap, Audrey joined him down on the

For the rest of the weekend, we were mostly (blissfully!) free of plans except for the dog-walking we were doing for a friend.

The kids had a ball being pretend dog owners for a weekend.

The later we went to the tree lighting (way early, so early in fact that we didn't see the tree lit at all) and had a photo taken with Santa. I have to admit, having kids that just sit peacefully next to Santa and smile is a little boring.

Then we went home and put up our own tree.

The kids like to recreate the "Buddy the Elf puts the star on the tree" scene. Hilarious, even for the 47th time.

The rest of the weekend we shopped, watched movies and chilled out. It was awesome! Bring on the holidays!
