Renovation Dreams + A Walk and a Swim

We had a really fun and productive weekend. On Friday night, we went to the holiday party at Bob's office. And then as payment, I demanded a nice dinner afterward at our newish local Italian restaurant. Bob asked for a wine recommendation and our server gave us a mini wine tasting. We'll definitely go back!



On Saturday, we had a free day so we went to IKEA to start thinking about the bathroom addition / kitchen renovation we would love to do eventually.

We weren't actually in the market for mosquito netting, but it was fun to test it out nonetheless.



This is what happens when we break the news to the kids that the cafeteria is out of "Chocolate Overload" cake.



Once we got home, Bob wore me down, and I finally consented to let him do some exploratory demolition.



Sunday was beautiful and in the 50's so we thought we'd have a picnic and a walk. Unfortunately we chose a picnic site right near Constitution Beach which was really windy. Another windy picnic as Maddy always says! And a very speedy one!



Broadmoor Nature Sanctuary was way less windy, and beautiful!







It was a great day for a walk! Not such a great day for a swim in the pond, but that happened too. (Poor Maddy…but it will make for a funny memory someday!)
