On Friday evening, Maddy had her final softball game of the season. When she started with the East Boston Girls Softball league I didn't know what to expect. I was worried that it would be too competitive and that she wouldn't be able to keep up with the other kids. But everyone was so supportive and the instructors were amazing.
By the end of the season, she was getting a hit most of the time!
And at her second to the last game, she played first base and did a great job. I could tell from the smile on her face when she came off the field that she LOVED being involved in almost every play and that she was very proud of herself. Bob and I could not be prouder.
I wish it didn't have to end so soon, but she'll give it another try next year and see if she can hang with the older girls in the "major" league.
It was a great season!
