After we left Blowing Rock on Sunday morning, it was time for the Main Event. The kids have been talking about going to the houseboat since….right after they left the houseboat last year. I think the best part for them is the swimming. And they were in the water within 20 minutes of getting to the boat.
And then there was more swimming.
Sometimes there was jumping…
…but that always just led to more swimming.
When occasionally forced out of the lake, the hot tub would suffice.
Sometimes they even let other people in the tub with them.
When pressed to get out of the water, they did like to drive, though honestly, the houseboat was a bit slow for their taste.
The pontoon was a little speedier…
…but the real fun was driving the runabout.
Maddy enjoyed the jet ski like she always does, but she seems a little less willing to go fast this year.
Audrey, on the other hand is going to be trouble!
On our last afternoon on the boat, everyone took a ride on the pontoon. It was a beautiful day for a cruise.
It was a very relaxing few days. Maddy says, "When can we go back?"
