George's Island

Aunt Janie and Uncle Graham were in Boston to visit Devon and Max and we had a chance to show them one of our very favorite places...George's Island. Beforehand, it didn't really dawn on me that Janie's resemblance to Grandma might be confusing... but the kids were definitely a little perplexed at first.



Then they just decided that Janie would make a wonderful fake Grandma for the day. And she did!



Maddy enjoyed getting to know her cousins. I don't really know what they were talking about, but Maddy pretty much talked Max's ear off on the whole ride to the island!!



We had a gorgeous sunny day to explore the fort.





But it was also nice to explore the dark cavernous structures and get out of the sun!







On this trip, they had some Civil War era kids games for the kids to test out. Let's just say that they were all much harder than they looked!



We had a really great time. Hopefully with Devon and Max in Boston we'll see more of Graham and "Fake" Grandma.
