Ipswich Wildlife Sanctuary

We had a really nice walk today in the Ipswich Wildlife Sanctuary. The sun never came out, but it was pretty warm, and the birdwatching was amazing.

We took off on the trail towards the "cave" that we remembered from last time.

We saw lots of ducks. The kids were very excited to see lots of "Mr. Mallards"

The cave was pretty exciting...

...but the real fun today was feeding the birds. We noticed lots of people feeding them, so we gave it a try with the Sun Chips we brought with our lunch. Some of us were braver...

...than others.

Though, to be fair to Bob, the birds were alarmingly strong when they pinched your fingers to land.

Later on down the trail, some nice people gave us some actual birdseed so Maddy...

...and I could show Bob that there's really nothing to be afraid of from a tiny, little bird.

After some lunch ourselves....

...and a little more trailblazing...

...it was time to head back to the car. Audrey's little legs held up right until the end.

It was such a nice day...can't wait to go back!
