Between Maddy's rediscovery of her keyboard and all the "Dancing TV" we played, we really enjoyed a lot of music this week.
We spent one afternoon at the Children's Museum. Both girls were really interested in the "building tools".
And Maddy "Frank Gehry" Carroll built her first work of architecture.
At the beginning of the week, I promised a trip to Monkey Joe's. Unfortunately, we were only there for 45 minutes before I realized the the place was devolving into Lord of the Flies and we made a hasty retreat.
Maddy wasn't thrilled about cutting our visit short, but it was nothing a Happy Meal couldn't fix. And besides, if we spent the whole day at Monkey Joe's we wouldn't have had time to swaddle Maddy, which was obviously way more fun.
On Saturday we had to divide and conquer. Bob and Audrey went down to take Grammy out for her birthday lunch. (As often happens, Elton John made an appearance.)
And I took Maddy to her swim lessons. We decided to take ourselves out to lunch as well. Maddy makes a very nice dining companion, we had a lovely time!
Back to school tomorrow. Boo.
