First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was the first day of kindergarten. I've been dreading this day all summer long, but we survived! And by "we", I mean me...Maddy was never worried for a second!

We had a little hiccup before school, when the time got a way from me. That coupled with some drama over a parking spot made us LATE. And apparently, the principal believes in promptness from her kindergartners! None of this loosey-goosey preschool business anymore. But, in the end, a quick goodbye was probably for the best. Otherwise, I would have embarrassed myself by turning into a human puddle.

So, Maddy had a great day. Or so it is implied by the drawing that came home in her backpack.

And she was accosted by a friend before we could even get out of the parking lot. That makes it easier to send her back tomorrow.

And, I'm happy to report that Maddy has still not gotten SO big, that she won't wear matching Elmo pajamas with her sister.
