Safety issues aside, both kids enjoyed the event. Audrey actually watched the whole display. Maddy was just drunk on the excitement from being out past bedtime!

Best Seat in the House
This year, we decided to brave the crowds and go to the fireworks display that our town puts on every 4th of July. Because of the huge crowd there's no parking, so Bob and I each carried a kid (I think he got the short end of the stick on that one!) the mile or so to the boat landing. I think Maddy is still under the weight limit but I'm not sure. When I went online later to look it up I saw that this kid carrier has been recalled since 1999!. Whoops!

Too Funny! Not the recall, but the fact that he's carrying her on his back. She LOOKS way to big for that thing with those long legs, even though I know she don't weigh more than a sack of potatoes. :o)
