Sand Castle

Christian is visiting from Chicago this month, so on Sunday we took him to Crane's Beach and put him to work building a sand castle. Maddy makes a tough boss...between her love of demolition and her questionable design sense, it was hard to come to an agreement on what to build.


Plus, she tended to take frequent breaks to "go get more water". I suspect it was just an excuse to go play in the waves.


Eventually our empire was complete, though we had to annex our neighbors space to to make room for the sprawling castle.


However, Maddy was embarrassed by our greedy land-grabbing, and decided to go on an anti-sprawl campaign. (Or maybe she was just doing her Godzilla impression.)


It was a great day, I only wish the water were a little warmer!
