Acquire, Last Day

Today, Ms. Reggi came over to the "Alabama House" for the last time. She and Maddy played for a few hours doing all the regular games. For a special treat they tried out Maddy's Lincoln Logs to show her how they could play with them with two hands.

As we were packing up her toys (and saying goodbye to the favorite, Wiggle Piano) we got a nice surprise. Maddy could push all the keys with her right pointer without any assistance!

Then we went to the clinic for Maddy's final evaluation. She did really great considering where she had started from.

Reggi had her try and hang from monkey bars. She couldn't really hang, but before this month, Maddy couldn't even really reach over her head so I would call this a success.

For a special treat, Ms. Reggi had brought Maddy a chocolate cupcake for her birthday. Between that, the chocolate pudding (that was part of the evaluation) and the chocolate kiss (that was her regular daily reward) I think Maddy had chocolate overload!

It was very sad to say goodbye to Ms. Reggi, but we are ready to get home.

This month has been a huge success. Thanks so much to everyone who helped make it possible and for all the kind words and support. We couldn't have done it without you!
