The kids had a slow ramp up to the school year. Two days on, then a four day weekend. And we've had such terrible weekend weather throughout the summer we got really lucky that we had great weather for Labor Day weekend and we crammed a lot in!
On Thursday night, Audrey had a pool party / birthday party that I got to crash. I'm happy to sit by a pool any day!
On Friday we took out the Rhodes 19 for a spin. There wasn't a ton of wind, but it was a beautiful night. And nice that we are finally getting the hang of sailing.
On Saturday, we had breakfast with Grandpa, Kenny, Tricia, Thomas and Kathryn. And then Grandpa took us to a farm he'd been wanting to show us.
(Don't be fooled by that horses sweet face, he bit me!)
On Sunday, Bob took the kids on a kayaking adventure. They dropped in at the Belle Isle March.
Then they made their way to the CPYC. Took a break, then headed towards the landing....
....taking a pit stop to explore Snake Island.
That was a pretty epic trip they took!
And then on Monday we had the Labor Day Party at the CYPC. We sure crammed in a lot into one weeknd!
