The Carroll Family Christmas Tree

While we're all sad that we can't go to Kentucky this year for Christmas, we're trying to take advantage of all the upsides to staying home over the holidays, the best upside....a real tree, just like the Griswalds.

I had grand visions of a nice outing, tromping through the woods on a sunny winter day, cutting down our own tree. The reality was a miserable rainy day, one sick kid, a post-Thanksgiving COVID scare (Audrey got a negative result a couple hours earlier) and apparently a live tree shortage (who knew?) But after trying a couple different tree farms on the North Shore, we found a perfect tree and a bargain at that!

It's beautiful!
