It's never my favorite thing to come home from vacation, but there were some fun things to come home to. First of all Maddy's new ride FINALLY came. We ordered it in June, it finally shipped in early August...to OREGON. The trike finally came to Massachusetts right before we left for vacation, and we had it assembled while we were gone.
And, once we'd gotten our post-travel COVID test results and could roam about, the kids and I spent a day getting new dance shoes and new sneakers. And just generally tooling about, listening to the Hamilton soundtrack.
It was a nice, normal-ish feeling day. I definitely don't take those for granted anymore!
