One week of Zoom School down and it was...ok...? It's getting easier, but it's been an adjustment.
On Wednesday, we got a little break. We had plans to go sailing but it was too windy, so we made a surprise trip to Salem to have some Flatbead Pizza and visit with Nicole, who we hadn't seen since March.

I'm trying to make an effort to make sure everyone gets some outside time after school every day.
On this Thursday of this first full week of school it became really obvious that Audrey it really starved for different kids of experiences. Interactions with different people. The use of ALL her senses. It kind of broke my heard that she felt like she needed to roll around in the cold wet sand just to feel like she's getting some new experiences in her life. All the fun parts of school (lunch, recess, chatting with friends, moving around a school building) are all gone, and all that's left is awkward interactions on zoom.

Maddy, on the other hand, seems completly unfazed. I suspect she prefers cats to people as classmates.
So, on Friday we took advantage of the nice weather and set Audrey's "classroom" outside so she would at least feel the sun and the breeze on on her skin. And she was much happier!

We made it through the first week. But, I know we're still pretty lucky in a lot of ways and we'll get through it! (Deep breath!)
