Maybe it's silly to make the kids go downstairs to take a "First Day of School" photo just do go back upstairs to start remote learning, but I coudn't stand to break with tradition. First day of 4th and 8th grade.
How can this be Maddy's last year of Middle School already?

We're all more than a little sad to be starting school this way, but I know they'll do great. And we have a lot to be grateful for.
And of course you have to celebrate with ice cream. COVID didn't take THAT away, at least!
