You look so grown up lately! It all feels like it's happening too fast!
(Though I'm happy to report that Elmo is still a big part of your life! He's still your number one companion, you never sleep without him.)
We're so proud of the intelligent, gregarious, HILARIOUS young lady you are. You're doing so well in second grade. You're an amazing writer and artist and you never fail to impress me with your creativity!
Whenever you have some free time, you're always coming up with some creative project to do. You and your friend Reese have started a band called Techo-Cats and you've written songs, come up with album art and even designed your stage makeup!
Speaking of cats, you are still the biggest animal lover that I know and the new addition of two kitties to our family have made you SO happy.
And I'm pretty sure your the only eight-year-old who's asked to have a David Bowie themed birthday party. Who knows, maybe you'll start a trend! When you found out the theme for your recital this year is "Icons" you had high hopes that you'd be dancing to a David Bowie song. Sadly, the "Icon" your ballet teacher had in mind was Mariah Carey. That was quite a blow to you!
You're still doing your tap and ballet classes with many of the same girls you've been dancing with for years but this year, I can tell that your teachers expect a lot more of you guys! You've been practicing bits of your routines all over the house. I can't wait to see it all put together in May!
In addition to art and writing and dance, you are also into basketball and soccer. I love your enthusiasm for any activity you choose to take on!
Like your sister, you LOVE the summer! You will go into the water regardless of how cold it is!
