Day Trip to Providence

On Saturday we continued our Memorial Day weekend tradition of visiting the Roger Williams Zoo. Luckily for us, Saturday was the best weather of the weekend and we had an awesome day and saw lots of animals...

...including these animals who's native habitat is the windy "Hurricane Booth".

And this animal who prefers a bouncy house habitat.

After the zoo, we went for a ride on the swan boats.

After we left the Roger Williams Park we decided on a whim to go to Providence for dinner. I think the kids enjoyed partaking in the pub scene. (One of these days we'll get Audrey to come out of her shell a bit.)

Serendipitously, WaterFire was going on that night so we stuck around to watch. There was lots to see while we waited.

Our future pet vet made friends with many, many caterpillars.

Finally the river was lit up! It was a slightly weird but beautiful evening.

It was such a nice day from start to finish!
