An Exciting Milestone: First Cocktail Party

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dreading Bob's office party this year. When it invitation included the kids I was simultaneously relieved not to have to find a babysitter yet fearful for what it would be like to have kids at a cocktail party. With Bob's coworkers and boss. Yikes!

I guess, I shouldn't have worried. The kids were awesome. Audrey, always an adventurous eater, really enjoyed the passed hors d'oeuvres, as did Elmo.



Someone had the brilliant idea to cover a table with craft paper and big balls of Play Doh and the kids were happy as clams. Audrey made a full-scale Elmo.



Maddy created "Blue Disk" in mixed media.



Bob's boss was pretty awesome with the kids. I don't even know what  Maddy was saying because  was pretty distracted by Audrey's busting out the "Emergency Mustache"







I have to say, Audrey was pretty much the life of the party. She was able to rapidly come up with new looks with the materials she had on hand.







It was a fun night, complete with an after-party at Wendy's for Frostys.
