The Long Start to Kindergarten

My baby is a kindergartener now, how did this happen. It was actually a long process to start kindergarten. The school probably figured that it was best for me to take it slow!

On Tuesday (the first day of school for the big kid) Audrey just had a quick trip to kindergarten to meet Ms Taudel and see her classroom.






On one other morning, Audrey went in for a screening then finally on Friday it was time for real first day of school. (As sad as I was about my baby starting school, enough is enough!)

Audrey was very excited, but just a tiny bit nervous too.



For the first day we were allowed to accompany our kindergartener to the gym before they went off to their classroom.



Tears were shed, mostly mine. There was one boy who wailed and had to be pulled off his mom. That was not pleasant to hear! But Audrey did fine. And now we have a kindergartener.



She loves school so far!
