Grandma and Grandfather Visit

After a crazy spring and early summer (between knee surgeries, weddings etc...) Grandma and Grandfather finally made it up for a visit. It was nice having them here in the summer when the weather is nice. And happily, they seem to have broken their bad weather curse!

On Friday, we took Grandma to our favorite beach. The waves calmed down eventually, but they were pretty intense for a while. Maddy and I had a blast, but poor Audrey was banished to the edge!

On Saturday, we took a road trip to the Steaming Tender Restaurant in Palmer, MA and found a steam engine for Grandfather to look at.

The Steaming Tender also had a old dining/parlor car to explore....

...as well as some other old fashioned curiosities

After lunch we drove a little further west to see the project that Bob has been working on and to tour the Armory Museum on his job site.

Audrey Carroll, Junior Ranger reporting for duty!

On Sunday, we also had some of the Carroll side of the family up to Boston to go whale watching.

We had an amazing day! We saw so many whales!

After seeing all that sea life, we were in the mood to go to a seafood restaurant and have some....bread!

It was a great day and a great weekend!
