Then we went out to the hollow to relax for a while.
Monday morning we were at the dock bright and early. Us, and all our STUFF!
I think we were on the boat a total of ten minutes before the kids were swimming off the back.
It was inevitable that the weapons would come out eventually, I just didn't think it would be so soon, or that Grandfather would be so ruthless.

In the late afternoon, we were able to tear ourselves away from the houseboat to take a boat ride.
Bob showed off his superior cannonball skills.
Our annual watery family portrait.
Our first day on the houseboat happen to be the summer solstice, and I think we capitalized on every minute of sunshine.
On our second day, the wave runners came out!
And Grandma impressed everyone by getting up on skis.
Audrey tried to get up on skis too. She's just a little too small still. And my personal family best of getting up on skis at the age of six still stands. Bonus!
Obligatory product placement. This vacation was sponsored by YooHoo. YooHoo, the drink that serves as a meal replacement for kids who love fake milk and chocolate!
We had to get out of the sun for a little while in the afternoon, and Aunt Katie made the genius move of bringing a Labyrinth DVD for the kids to watch.
At the end of our second day we had a thunderstorm and a rainbow!
On our last day, Audrey and Maddy had a rumble with some locals who were irritated with our use of their swimming hole.
The kids eventually prevailed though!
Watermelon, yum!
After lunch, we had one final cruise.
And the kids got to try out the ski-tubes.
They both had a ball!
Even Bob took a turn, but a week later, I think he may regret that!
Sadly, eventually the prun-ey children had to dry off and we had to pack up and go home.
On our way home, we just happened to pull into a scenic overlook and got an amazing view of Norris lake.
What a great trip!
