We did a lot of celebrating this weekend. First, on Friday night Bob and the kids took me to our favorite Mexican restaurant for my birthday dinner. They even made the wait staff sing to me and make me wear the sombrero. (I guess he's just getting me back for his birthday!)
Then, when the kids went to bed, Bob and I really partied hard!
On Saturday morning we went to the sailing center where Maddy is going to take sailing lessons this summer. They offered to take us out in the boat, but we took a raincheck! Hopefully Maddy's week will be less foggy!
On Saturday evening we had the Smith-Felner's over for a Derby party. Derby hats were donned. Bourbon cocktails were imbibed. Bets were placed.
Unfortunately "Buttercup Jewel" did not finish in the money. (Nor did any of our other horses.)
Mother's Day was this weekend too, but I'm going to request a do over on that one since we spent it at the MGH Urgent Care Walk-in Clinic trying to figure out what's going on with poor Bob's stomach (nothing serious, thankfully!) Hospital visits aside, it was a nice weekend.
