New Years Eve

Bob had to head back to work yesterday, but Maddy's off school so we decided to spend the morning at the MFA.

Class Distinctions, a show of of Dutch paintings was in it's last week so I really wanted to see it. I think the kids enjoyed it too.

The museum had tons of awesome activities for kids since the schools were out on vacation. First we made New Year's Eve party hats. I had to elbow a few other kids to get the letters they needed for their names but it was worth it!

Then they made some puppets. Audrey made a simple butterfly on a stick.

But Maddy wanted to get a little fancier, she made a fish that's jointed in two places.

Bob got out of work early so we broiled some steaks and then played Muppet Monopoly afterwards. Luckily it got too late to keep playing because Bob was about to run us out of town!

The kids were in bed well before midnight, but I think New Years was still pretty festive!
