Almost a year ago, we gave the kids a trip to our local LegoLand Discovery Center as a birthday present and we are just now getting around to taking them. I couldn't take my guilty conscience any longer, so today we bit the bullet and went. We actually timed it perfectly and were literally the first people in the place which was awesome. As we discovered, the crazy builds up as the day goes on!
The MiniCity replica of Boston was amazing! They hit all the major landmarks.
Then we moved into the main part of the center. We saw a 4D movie (still trying to figure out the appeal of being squirted by water), did some Ninja training...
...and took a ride on Merlin's Apprentice Ride.
Somehow, among all those Legos Audrey still managed to locate the one karaoke microphone!
The kids had a blast in the play structure, we practically had to drag them out.
My personal favorite was when we took a class at the "Master Builder Academy". We all made a polar bear.
We finished the day by designing our own cars and racing them. Maddy's was the clear winner, she remained undefeated (when she wasn't crashed into!) after three races.
It was a great day! Now, we just have to figure out what to get them for their birthday THIS year.
