"A Children's Holiday Spectacular!"

This weekend was the every-other-yearly holiday show at the Winthrop School of Performing Arts. Participation is entirely optional, so months ago when I asked Audrey if she wanted to participate she said, "Do I get to be on the big stage again?….then YES!"

She was excited to perform some Christmas carols with her buddy Daniela.

You have to love life in a small town... our school Superintendent is also a great singer. He sang "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch" to Audrey's group….

…before they returned the favor and sang to everyone. The sang "Jingle Bells", "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", and "Friendly Snowman".

Even with all that entertainment to watch on the stage, Audrey was counting the minutes until she could get backstage again to line up for the finale. (Backstage is VERY exciting, lots going on!)

And just to make the day a little more special, we had a surprise visit from Christian and Thanh and dinner at LaSiesta.

The kids were awesome and sat through a long boring dinner while we caught up…an early Christmas gift!
