Last Week of Summer

Maddy has only one more full week before school starts so I planned a fun week for them to send summer out with a bang.

Tuesday we went to the Museum of Science with Audrey's friend Daniela. Cliff was there, safe and sound.

Wednesday, we took some time out from our busy (beach) day to wish Grandpa a happy birthday.

Then we went to Nahant Beach and had one of the best beach days of the whole summer with Noah, Josephine and Elsie.

On Thursday, we had a playdate with Stella and Violet and introduced them to our awesome tide pool. We reinforced the "aquarium" that our friend Noah built...

...and then probably seriously disrupted the ecosystem by adding five hundred additional periwinkles!

The sea life theme continued on Friday when we took our final trip to the New England Aquarium before our pass expires. Maddy got her hands on the elusive "pizza" stingray. (Her name, but I think it's fitting!)

And Audrey got a lecture from an educator that will forever make her feel guilty for ever buying a beverage in a plastic bottle ever again!

On Friday night Maddy had her second to the last softball game of the season and she got to play first base!

Which was even more special because Uncle Kenny and Aunt Tricia were there to watch.

We still have a little more summer left and we're going to try to make the most of it!
