July 4th Weekend

Once the 4th of July rolls around, there's no denying that it's summer. And we totally rocked this holiday weekend. Especially Bob. On the xylophone.

On Friday we cooked-out with Grammy, Grandpa, Uncle Kenny and Tricia. Then we made it back home in time for for dinner with friends and to have a walk along the beach.

The nice weather gave Bob a chance to break in his new running sneakers and the kids demanded a chance to jog too. I have to say, they hung in there with him pretty well!

On Saturday, we went to the Winthrop fireworks with some friends and scored a perfect spot right on the beach (thanks to it being low tide.) Sparklers were enjoyed by all!

The real show was great too!

On Sunday was the annual pool party at "Camp Barry" with the Cahoons. All the way the Shrewsbury Audrey bragged about how she was going to jump off the diving board and sure enough, that was the first thing she did!

Bob chose a "cannonball" as his method of entry.

As far as Maddy is concerned, the steps are a perfectly reasonable way of getting into the swimming pool.

I'm sure the minute after this was taken this scene devolved into screaming and spashing. But for this moment, they really love each other.

Mmmm....watermelon!

Such a great day, and so grateful that no one had any of her limbs in a cast!
