Father's Day Weekend

We had a beautiful weekend to celebrate Father's Day. We started on Saturday with a trip to Plymouth so that Bob could have his favorite thing in the world: a lobster roll from Lobster Hut.

After dinner, we had a nice walk to the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock.

On Sunday, we took a hike at World's End. We hadn't been there for years for fear that little legs wouldn't hold out for the entire hike.

And they didn't, but there are so many beautiful views around every corner I don't even mind that we didn't make it all the way around the point. That just means we have to go back!

In the middle of our hike, near "The Bar"...the little sliver of land that connects the two land masses, we stopped and had a picnic. As you can see from the orange residue, the kids got pretty excited about the bag of BBQ potato chips I packed.

About a quarter of the way around the second point, little legs began to poop out so we started to head back towards the car.

One more Oreo break at the beach to throw some rocks and rest. (Bob and I were clearly using junk food to motivate people to finish this hike!)

We eventually made it! And aside from carrying Audrey the last little bit, the kids did great. We're looking forward to doing lots of hikes this year.

It was a great day!
