Thanksgiving

We had a really nice Thanksgiving. I thought it was particularly nice, because I didn't have to cook!

Well, I did have to cook a few things, like my mandatory sweet potatoes. But Maddy helped with those.

Kenny and Tricia hosted and cooked most of the meal. I think Kenny's hat is what made the turkey turn out so juicy.

Grammy (and Grandpa) made it up to Quincy as well.

Tricia and Kenny set a beautiful table. The kids even at a bite or two of turkey, surpassing my expectations!

Audrey had a new milestone. Her first "nut tassie". The first of many, I'm sure those things are addictive!

After dinner, Kenny tried to relax for a few minutes before dessert. Big mistake!

For dessert, Kenny successfully recreated Mary's famous chocolate pie. Maddy was skeptical at first, but gave it a big thumbs up!

Because my mom taught me never to let a good turkey carcass go to waste, I brought home some turkey bones, made some stock and spent Friday morning making turkey noodle soup.

The kids didn't even realize they were unpaid labor in a turkey noodle soup sweat shop!
