Perfect Fall Weekend

Aside from NOT being on a cruise ship, being wined and dined, we actually had a really nice weekend. After Maddy's swim lessons on Saturday (her first lesson of Level 3....go Maddy!) we drove out to Drumlin Farm. It was a really pretty day, but a little colder than we were expecting. But other than having our picnic in the car, rather than out in the farm, the temperature didn't slow us down much.

And Audrey didn't seem alarmed at all the spooky creatures lurking about.

We had the hayride all to ourself.

Fall cuteness photo opportunities were everywhere.

And even after making at least a dozen trips to Drumlin Farm, we actually found a new trail to take. Audrey was very impressed with the tall pine trees.

On Sunday Willy Wonka and I had a date to play "Spooky Bingo". She actually won on the very last round. Bob believes she must have inherited her namesake's bingo luck.

After Bingo, we all had a date to carve our pumpkins. Maddy makes a wonderful goop-scopper-outer.

Audrey requested a "happy, not scary" jack-o-lantern, which obviously requires a dremel tool. Or maybe Bob just likes any excuse to use a power tool.

Maddy wanted her jack-o-lantern to show off some loose teeth. I can't imagine where she got that idea.

They both turned out pretty well and the kids are over the moon about Halloween coming up this week. I think they are already dreaming about all that sugar they are going to eat.

And that is actually the scariest part about Halloween!
