Baseball Camp

Maddy just finished an amazing week of baseball camp at the Franciscan Hospital for Children. Every camper got her own personal "coach" (a PT or OT student from a local college) to help them learn the rules of the game.



Maddy enjoyed the baseball aspect, but I think she equally enjoyed the camp atmosphere and getting to hang out with kids who also had some physical challenges. I suspect she also developed a little crush on Teddy, the camp guitarist. She would get so embarrassed when he sang to her!



On the last day of camp they played a game, kids versus adults.



When all the kids and all their coaches were on defense they looked intimidating out in the field!


Maddy loved her coach, Amie.



I love the baseball card they made. I can just look at Maddy's face and her determined stance to see how much she loved being there.


Maddy has already asked if she can go back next year!
