Friday morning, while Maddy had her therapy Audrey showed off her acrobatic and her aquatic skills.
Friday night was movie night. Lucky for me, Maddy had made pizza with Reggi earlier in the day.
On Saturday morning, the weather was a little unpredictable so we went on our shopping mission to find Maddy some new sneakers that tie.
After Audrey's naptime we wanted to show Aunt Katie the Birmingham Botanical Garden.
After the Botanical Garden we went to a restaurant that Maddy probably should buy a franchise of...."Nothing But Noodles". (So proud that Maddy ate most of this plate of noodles with no assistance!)
Contrary to the name, they actually did have other stuff too. Like breadsticks. Audrey wins the award for most creative way to eat a breadstick.
On Sunday we had to take Aunt Katie to the airport in the morning so Maddy and I went to the movie theater afterwards for our third movie of the month, Despicable Me 2. (Much better than Turbo!)
In the afternoon, we made our fourth trip to the McWane Center for a couple hours. Thank goodness the hurricane booth was working today! I don't think Maddy would have willingly left Birmingham without a farewell trip in the hurricane booth!
The sea life is always Audrey's favorite part of the museum and we were both captivated by the giant (creepy, menacing, zombie-looking!) green moray eel. We watched him hide in his rock for a long time and were so excited/ freaked out when he finally came out a bit and we could see just how big he is.
It's been a great month. Maddy has one more week of therapy and then we all get a vacation!
