Heat Wave!

We just had a weekend stretch of beautiful, but hot weather. On Friday we had to break out our homemade "water table". That was a big hit!


On Saturday, we did a lot of porch sitting (and smiling).


Later in the afternoon, we had some friends over for a cookout. Maddy taught Amaia her backwards-baseball-hat style. Amaia paid her back in song.


Audrey and her buddy Kai enjoyed throwing rocks at the beach. It was such a nice evening, no one really wanted to leave.


On Sunday, we had plans to meet a friend at the zoo, but (after I scorched myself at Maddy's soccer game by not wearing any sunscreen!) decided to head to the Children's Museum instead. Audrey met a new friend, Cherie and they had great fun exploring the museum together.


Maddy and Bob got to do some big kid stuff together (apparently, she's an awesome clay sculptor)...


...before having some lunch outside.


And we even had time to visit the park before dinner time.
