After our walk we went out to lunch for everyone's favorite, noodles!
Also, at this lunch we added another food to Maddy "picky pants" Carroll's list of acceptable food. Bob talked her into tasting buttered bread (way to push your boundaries, Maddy!) and after one taste she asked for butter on her bread too. "Spread it all over!" she said. Little victories mean so much!
After lunch, Audrey and I went home for a nap while Bob and Maddy hit the mall for a birthday present for Uncle Kenny. The mall aways = merry-go-round ride as far as Maddy is concerned.
At the mall, Bob made an impulse buy that we are all very excited about. He got Maddy a tennis racket! So as soon as they got home, we took it to the tennis courts to play around. Maddy did really well for her first time and had a blast playing. I'm looking forward to practicing with her this summer.
Unfortunately, we didn't have too much time on the tennis courts because we had to get ready for Uncle Kenny's birthday party that night. Luckily, we had some very responsible babysitters available to watch the kids.
On Sunday went to meet a new friend, baby Matilda, and have some brunch at Jason and Stephanie's new house. I got to hold the new baby, until my own twenty-four pound baby got jealous and wanted to be held too. Maddy and Sawyer had a great time practicing their T-ball skills.
Afterwards, I got to head out to my movie date with Nicole while Bob took the kids to Taunton for some time in the swimming pool.
And some poolside ice cream...
...before some birthday cake and more ice cream. (Remind me to make those dentist appointments!)
It was a great weekend!
