It was extra-special because our friends, the Branhams, joined us and they are getting ready to move to California in a few weeks. As soon as Hope arrived, Maddy ran and jumped right in the water, goggles and all! Frigid water and wind be damned! There are no photos of all this frolicking as I had to be prepared at a moment's notice to go rescue a certain 6-year-old (or two) who liked to wade out too far.
After the kids were beached out (and after a head bump that looked scary but turned out ok...thanks for the heart attack, Audrey!) we got some dinner from Kelly's across the street and ate under the pavilion.
(Remind me to have a talk with Audrey about smiling guys who are missing their pants!)
We are very sad that the Branhams are leaving, but we do have lots of nice memories!
