We had the Carroll side of the family over to celebrate Christmas yesterday.
Now that Maddy is five, she's so helpful. She INSISTED that she help set out the peanut butter balls for me. And she was so deliberate in her work, she neglected to notice a little thievery going on right below her nose. (And this photo represents the last time Audrey's dress was free from chocolate stains!)
After everyone had been here a while, Maddy requested that we watch "Elf", for the fifteenth time this week. She wanted to make sure that everyone saw Buddy the Elf hang the star on the Christmas tree. (This particular scene makes her blow milk out her nose for laughing so hard.) It was great watching a movie with everyone....
...until the power went out.
So we decided to exchange gifts in the dark. Not much light was required for Audrey to know that she scored an awesome gift...."Animal" from The Muppet Show. (How fitting)
Eventually the power came back on, and our party was way less exiting.
It was a great day! Audrey says, "Merry Christmas!"
