Hurricane Weekend

We had a pretty boring weekend, as the the weather was pretty nasty well in advance of hurricane Sandy. Maddy started a new session of swim lessons on Saturday and had her (very soggy) soccer game on Sunday.

On Saturday, we also spent the afternoon making cupcakes to donate to the "Spooky Bingo" fundraiser at Maddy's school. Just say the word "cupcake" and Maddy is there to help!

Believe it or now, she actually sorted the M&M's and candy corn while only eating a small percentage (say only 25%-30% or so...). I was impressed at her will power!

We made an army of monsters to spook her classmates.

On Monday, Maddy had the day off from school, so Audrey led a class in the proper way to eat toast...you lick the jelly off first.

Due to the storm, Bob had the day off too and couldn't resist taking Maddy out to check out the angry ocean.

As of Monday evening Sandy is still here, and Maddy has no school tomorrow, but luckily we haven't had any damage, flooding or power outages...yet. Here's hoping that Sandy decides to leave soon!
