Maddy's New York City Adventure

Maddy and Bob have been planning a trip to New York City to visit Uncle Kenny all summer long. Maddy has been deligently preparing for the trip for weeks with repeated viewings of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2. She got in one more viewing of Ghostbusters 2 on the bus ride down. (This girl is totally going to ace the category of "Bad Comedy Movies From the 1980's" when she finally makes it onto Jeopardy!)

After they arrived on Friday night, Uncle Kenny took them on a tour of his office building and showed off his amazing view.

On Saturday, they spent most of the day at the Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planetarium.

After an ice cream break, they went to take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry to get a view of the Statue of Liberty. Also known as, the statue that comes walking down the street in Ghostbusters 2.

After the ferry ride, everyone was so exhausted they decided to take a taxi cab back to Uncle Kenny's apartment. Maddy really loved the idea that all you have to do is hold your arm up, and a car stops, picks you up and then drives like a maniac to your destination.

Finally on Sunday, they had a quick lunch before Bob and Maddy had to get back on the bus and come home. They found a nice little local Scottish place, Old MacDonald's, I think it's called.

They had such a great time, I was very jealous!
