On Friday we took Maddy for a "big sister day" to lunch and a movie. Then on Saturday, we went out to Lincoln to the Decordova Sculpture Park. When we mentioned the sculpture park to Maddy she said she wanted to see the "big wooden hammer". Bob and I didn't know what she meant until we got there.
Oh, THAT big wooden hammer. Maddy's memory amazes me! And a visit to the "big red guy" is always mandatory.
On Sunday we drove down to see Grammy and Grandpa for a visit. Finally on Monday, we had a picnic with friends at the Arboretum. I've never seen Maddy happier then when she can be left to her own devices among the trees and grass. And dirt.
At one point, I saw Maddy take a dive down the "mountain" she'd been running down, I was sure she'd broken her other elbow. I ran to her, thinking she was crying. Nope, she was laughing.
Audrey had a great time too...eating grass and drinking Mountain Dew.
It was a great long weekend!
