Spring, Finally!

The weather this weekend was so beautiful! For weeks we'd been having damp cold days (with a couple blazing hot and humid days thrown in to keep us guessing) but no real spring weather. That's why the weather this weekend felt like such a treat. We had two gorgeous, sunny days that were warm, but with a slight chill in the air. Perfect weather as far as I'm concerned.

On Saturday, Bob and Maddy took a bike ride around Deer Island. I was EXTREMELY jealous but since a moby-wrapped baby on a bike would probably get me arrested, I decided to pass. They had a great time though, and (luckily for me) they saved enough energy to go to the beach later in the day.

As usual, Maddy took her time exploring all the rocks and sand. I can't wait to take her to the beach when we can spend all day in the sand.





On Sunday we went to the Franklin Park Zoo and had a really nice day. The park was a great place to have a picnic lunch which we did about five seconds after we arrived (all the sudden, Maddy is hungry ALL THE TIME!) After lunch, we checked out all the animals. Maddy even had a chance to feed some birds.


After a lap around the park, Maddy hit the pay area and rode a pretend train.


Then we took a real "train" on another lap around the park. It was a nice break for tired legs!


Audrey says, "Show me the monkeys!"



It was a great day, we can't wait to go back!
