Long Weekend

We had a really nice long weekend, with just the right amount of cookouts, home improvement and relaxing. For starters, Friday night we took advantage of the projector Bob brought home from a work presentation he had in NYC earlier in the day. He set it up so we could watch our nightly Muppet Show on the "big screen". Maddy was very impressed!


By the way, that guest host was Paul Williams. Maddy's knowledge of 70's era TV personalities and singer-songwriters is vast and impressive!

On Saturday, we had the Cahoon's up for a cookout. They brought brownie sundaes for dessert. They are welcome back anytime!


On Sunday, we decided it was time to get our porches in shape for summer. Maddy was a great help! She picked out all the plants for the boxes and enjoyed having an actual reason for playing with dirt.


After we got the boxes planted, we spent some time sitting on the porch, enjoying the weather. Both girls love it outside, though poor Audrey is definitely getting a little uncomfortable in her cast, due to the heat.


We had a great weekend. It finally feels like summer is here!
